Cristina Arias Portaceli is a lawyer oriented to the advice of national and foreign companies. After the Master’s Degree in Tax Law by the Instituto de Estudios Fiscales (Valencia) in 2001, he started his professional career in the legal department of the savings bank Bancaja (now Bankia) in April 2002.
In September 2002 she joined the Commercial Law practice area of the law firm Uría Menéndez, being part of such prestigious firm during more than 8 years (2002-2011). During her collaboration in the offices of Valencia and Madrid of Uría Menéndez, she had the opportunity to participate in financing transactions, M&A and capital market transactions, as well as to render legal advice both to local and multinational companies in commercial and corporate issues.
Her main practice areas are Commercial and Corporate Law and Insolvency, having acted in several commercial transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, and in relevant banking and Project finance. Likewise, she has broad experience in the advice to entities supervised by CNMV and insurance companies.
In April 2011, she started a new professional project as freelance which ended with the incorporation of Quáter Abogados.
She is registered in the Registry of Insolvency Receivers of the Valencia Bar Association.

She has regularly written legal articles for specialized legal magazines.
She is co-writer of the book “Las cuotas participativas”, Ed. Tirant lo Blanch (Valencia), 2011, a book aimed to the analysis of the nature and features of the cuotas participativas (participating shares) and its issue.
